The study is about the feasibility of pineapple peelings as craft paper. In this way, the researchers help minimize the locality’s solid garbage and at the same time, they were able to make cheaper craft paper.

Craft papers are made in basically the same way. A mixture of cellulose fibers, water, and chemicals were placed on top of a fine-meshed screen that lets the water drain off. As the fibers dry, they mat together to form a sheet. The sheet is removed from the screen, dried, and pressed smoothly to form paper.

The product was tested following the methods and procedures. After analyzing the test results, the researchers were able to conclude that craft paper that was made out of the pineapple peelings could not compete with the commercial one but still of good quality and at the cheaper price.
